The Lodge(See Gallery Page for the full list of picture pages) Our New Forest venue is a 60 acre outdoor activity estate on the western edge of the New Forest, Britain's newest National Park. It is situated about 25 miles from Southampton and about 12 miles from Bournemouth. (There is a map of the locality here.) The huge estate includes two lakes, lots of walks, a challenging off-road cycle track, lots of conifers and traditional woodland trees and great views. Miles from the nearest main road it has a truly away-from-it-all peaceful atmosphere. The Lodge, where we hold the courses, is a Norwegian-style pine lodge towards the northern edge of the estate and adjacent to the New Forest's open heathland. It is not just made of pine but is also pine-lined making for a lovely atmosphere. The self-catering accommodation is in 7 twin-bunk rooms and the Lodge has a fully equipped kitchen (and washing machine!). Learning in the countryside is different from learning in a city-centre hotel.
