The New Forest venue

(See Gallery Page for the full list of picture pages)

Our NLP workshops and training courses are held in a 52 acre outdoor activity centre in a secluded part of the western edge of the New Forest. The estate contains deciduous and coniferous woodland, two lakes, numerous ponds, and an amazing selection of flora and fauna.

The High Ropes experience looks, and is, very more exciting. Yet, at a course, you spend most of your time learning about NLP with other people - sometimes indoors and sometimes outside - discussing or experimenting or exploring or doing activities to develop skill in NLP.

Being in such a wonderful rural setting contributes to your learning in many ways. You are likely to be in a better frame of mind than if you were in the midst of a city. The noise level is more pleasant, too (apart from the occasional plane heading for Bournemouth airport). But it contributes in less-definable ways, too.

Learning about how to use your five senses makes more sense when they are being assailed by wonderful images, aromas, sounds, etc. And there are the non-course parts of the day, too. Walk about quietly in the early morning, especially in winter, and you're quite likely to come upon a herd of wild deer grazing near the Lodge. Find a spot of your own in the wood or near one of the lakes at dusk and listen to the cacophony of natural sounds.

Birds and rabbits are ubiquitous, especially in the early mornings or late evenings when there are fewer humans about. The lakes have geese in winter and ducks all year round.
